5 Day Class (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $265 (includes lab fee)
Materials: $50 and up

This class is for anyone who is interested in learning basic techniques, tools, etc., that are required to make jewelry using silver, cooper, and brass. Students will solder, saw, file, and hammer to create their pieces. Emphasis is on basic skills and understanding what is involved, rather than producing masterpieces. Students will use mostly hand-tools and a few machines.

Steve has a BA in Art from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. His major was Ceramic Design and production and Drawing, with a minor in Graphics Design, Art History, and Film. He has worked as an Exhibit Specialist and Graphic Artist at the UA Museum, a CAD Designer and Computer Programmer for Dillard’s Department Stores and also had successful careers as a Chef and a CAD draftsman. He is currently self-employed as a Jewelry Designer and has been living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico since 2005 designing and selling his work in both Puerto Vallarta and San Miguel Allende, Mexico.
