Studio
5 Day Class (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $265 (includes lab fee)

Fayetteville wood turner, David Morris, will cover all of the basics of woodturning in this course. Students will learn basic tools and tool usage needed to turn bowls and platters from green wood to completed pieces. All of the basics of lathe work will be covered in this course, including proper use of bowl and spindle tools, sharpening, and finishing.

David Morris has a B.A. from the University of Arkansas in Political Science, a Masters in Theology from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas in 1981. He has been turning wood for five years, and can turn both functional and artistic pieces from a variety of woods. He works primarily with cherry, walnut, and maple, and strives to create heirloom pieces that the owners will both use and pass from generation to generation.
