5 day Class (1pm-4pm)
Tuition: $110 (includes lab fees)
Materials: $10

Make a piece of furniture using tree branches and wood.  Look at examples of stools, benches, and tables made from branches and tree trunks and choose one to make.  Lots of room for creativity and individuality -- Sand it smooth or leave it rough; make the legs long or short; how many legs do you want?  3? 4? 5??;  -- you decide!  Bring your own branches from home if you want, or we'll have plenty to choose from here, too.  Sticks can be green or dry, just make sure they're not rotten.  Small class size will ensure individual attention.

Greg, a rustic furniture maker from Fayetteville, Arkansas, has sold his furniture at shows from Denver to Philadelphia. His eclectic style includes found objects and contemporary elements in addition to natural wood in all it's elegant shapes. In addition to his 31 years experience as a woodworker, Greg has a Masters degree in Cartography and has taught at the University of Arkansas.  He was featured by Wood” magazine in their "Craftsman Close-up" and his work has been published in books written by Dan Mack, one of the gurus of rustic furniture.
