Session Seven/July 21-25Steve Stramel Intermediate This class is for students with some metalsmithing experience, particularly soldering. Students will fabricate chains from start to finish, using a variety of metals. The class will also cover using chain links and chains as components in other designs and creating custom findings to complete designs. Steve has a B.A. in Art from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he currently resides. His major was Ceramic Design and Drawing, with minor study in Graphic Design, Art History, and Film. He has worked as a 3D Modeler, CAD Designer and Computer Programmer for Dillard's Department Stores, an Exhibit Specialist and Graphic Artist at the University of Arkansas Museum, and also had a successful career as a Chef. He is currently self-employed as a Graphic Artist and Jewelry Designer. In 2007, he received his Precious Metal Clay (PMC) instructor certification from Tim Mc Creight. |
