3 Day class (9am-4pm: Mon., Tues., & Wed.)
Tuition: $110
Materials: $10

This class will focus on basic drawing techniques used for creating a range of images from cartoon characters to full blown original illustrations. By considering and analyzing a variety of sources, students will improve their rendering skills while hand drafting and copying reproductions of favorite subjects as well as embarking on discoveries by tapping their vivid imaginations. From comic books to animations the class will delve into a cross spectrum of drawn images to search for styles and techniques that are readily absorbed into a personal and individual approach.

Chris Fischer has taught a cartooning class for several summers during ESSA's Youth Art Week, as well as an after-school drawing class at his White Street studio in Eureka Springs.
