Tuition: $275
Materials: $25 Pen, ink, and paper - that's all you need to get started!

Students will be introduced to various techniques and styles, as well as an overview of materials and supplies. Students will work from photography, still life objects, and imagination. Students are encouraged to bring their own reference material, but instructor will provide hundreds of photographs. The class will focus on basic techniques of pen and ink drawing (crosshatching, stippling, contour lines, etc.), with skill developing exercises in each technique. The course will also explore ink wash, adding watercolor to a pen and ink drawing, and the reverse - adding ink to a watercolor. Also, students will experiment with colored ink pens and colored inks.
