Session Three/June 16-20Cynthia Mc Donald All levels Learn to pick the "perfect" gourd for your drum! Students will then clean their gourds both on the inside and outside. The hide will be stretched and tightened on the gourd. While the gourd dries, the class will learn to make a drum beater. Cynthia Mc Donald grew up as a farm girl in Cedarville, Ohio, where she still lives today. She was very involved in her county 4-H program and began her journey with creativity there. Cynthia was introduced to gourds while visiting a local art show. The gourds thrilled her senses and put her imagination to work. She then began creating gourd art. Cynthia is affiliated with the Ohio Gourd Society and her gourd art can be found in galleries throughout the United States. |
